I am a scholar and an artist. I’m currently pursuing a PhD, where my academic explorations intersect with my passion for art. While my work is broadly rooted in documenting & highlighting Blackness across the Diaspora, I place particular emphasis on the American South. As a native North Carolinian, these perspectives are of the utmost importance to me and have shaped who I am today. I aim to capture and share these nuanced stories and experiences of Black communities in the Deep South as I live them. My art is not just a form of expression, but a means of storytelling.
